PRE DEPARTURE DAY
Arrival at the airport, transfer to your hotel in Kampala city.
Dinner and Overnight (BB).
DAY 1
Start the journey to Murchison Falls National Park. Arrive at the park headquarters and visit the top of the dramatic Murchison Falls, where the world's longest river explodes violently through a narrow cleft in the Rift Valley escarpment to plunge into a frothing pool 43m below. Thereafter go to your hotel for a hearty lunch. Go for an evening game drive and return to the hotel. O/N: FB
DAY 2
Depart for an early morning game drive on the northern bank of the Nile. Return to the lodge for lunch. Afternoon launch trip on the Nile to view the falls. Large crocodiles and a vast array of birds including the very rare Shoebill stork could well be observed. Return to lodge. O/N: (FB).
DAY 3
Leave for Fort Portal with a brief stopover at the Mukwano tea estate to take photographs. Retire to your hotel. O/N. (FB).
DAY 4
Chimp trekking activity within the Kibale Forest National Park. This amazing experience is known as the 'Chimp check' where you will observe the chimps coming out of their nests between 5:30am to 6:30 am to follow them during their daily activities up to nesting time between 6:30 and 7:30pm.
A shorter 4hour chimpanzee tracking experience can be combined with a visit to the Bigodi wetland sanctuary managed by local community as an ecotourism site. Bird watching is the main activity however primates are also very much present and include Grey-checked Mangabey, Red-tailed monkey, L’Hoest's monkey and Baboons. A packed lunch will be taken. DAY 5
Leave for Queen Elizabeth National Park, with views of the Rwenzoris range and possibly snow capped peaks. Enter the park to proceed to the Mweya Peninsular for a launch trip on the Kazinga Channel. Evening game drive on return from the launch trip time permitting. O/N: (FB).
DAY 6
Day of game driving activities in the park including visits to the Kyambura Gorge, Kasenyi and Crater lakes areas of the park. O/N: (FB).
DAY 7
Return to Kampala after a leisurely breakfast. Lunch en-route at Mbarara with a stop at the Equator and continue to Kampala. O/N (FB).
