Highlights: Game drive and boat ride

This is the closest savannah reserve to Kampala. It is centered on a series of swamp fringed lakes known for their rich bird life. Its Acacia woodland harbors dense populations of zebra, warthog, Buffalo, impala and the popular Eland- the largest of African Antelope.

Day-1
Depart for Mbarara, a stop over at the equator,(imaginary line that divides the earth into two hemispheres). Experience your weight changes at both hemispheres Proceed to Lake Mburo National Park, arrive late in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight (F/B).

Day-2
 After breakfast go for the morning game drive. Expect to see zebras, buffalos, waterbucks, etc. Return to the camp for a lunch break.  In the afternoon take a boat ride on Lake and be able to see hippos, crocodiles and various species of birds;  the rare shoebill stork, papyrus yellow warbler, African fin foot, saddle billed stork, brown chested wattled plover, ground horn bill, and white wing warbler. Dinner and Overnight (F/B).

Day-3
After break fast visit the Omugabe’s Palace. Omugabe is a title given to traditional kings of Ankole Kingdom. Leave for Kampala, have a brief stop at Mpambire Royal drum maker for local products shopping like Drums and other kind of souvenirs. Continue with your return journey and arrive in Kampala late in the afternoon.
