Murchison Falls National Park is the countries largest protected area whose palm studded grassland supports populations of lion, buffalo, elephant, Rothchild’s giraffe and one of the few East African strongholds of the spindly plains dwelling Patas monkey. The spectacular water falls are of course the highlight of any visit.
This itinerary can also be undertaken as a 3 day safari.

DAY 1: To Murchison Falls National Park

Start journey to Murchison Falls National Park. Lunch at Masindi before continuing to the top of the falls for a guided nature walk. O/N at Paraa Safari Lodge or Nile Safari Camp (FB).

DAY 2: Game drive, Launch trip

Depart for early morning game drive on the north bank of the Nile. Return to lodge for lunch. Afternoon launch trip on the Nile to view the falls. Large crocodiles, and a vast array of birds including the very rare Shoebill stork could well be observed. Return to lodge. O/N: Paraa Safari Lodge or Nile Safari Camp (FB).

DAY 3: Game drive, Launch trip

Morning game drive. Returning to lodge for lunch. Afternoon boat trip of the Victoria Nile Delta area before it opens out onto Lake Albert looking of Shoebill stork. O/N: Paraa Safari Lodge or Nile Safari Camp (FB).

DAY 4: Chimpanzee tracking

An early start. Game drive on your way to Kanyio Pabidi in the Budongo Forest. Experience chimpanzee tracking in the forest with a knowledgeable guide. Lunch at Kanyio Pabidi. Budongo is also known for its many plant and bird species. Continue to Kampala to transfer to Entebbe International Airport at your own convenience for your onward journey.
